TROLEU is a chaotic and lighthearted simulation game where you take on the role of a trolleybus conductor who has to deal with unruly passengers.
Set in 2021 France, TROLEU puts you in the shoes of an overworked trolleybus conductor who is tasked with giving paying customers tickets and dealing with rule-breakers. There are three forms of payment that you can accept (credit card, cash and bus pass), though you’ll need to make sure the details on the bus pass match the passenger – if they don’t you need to kick them off (literally).
As well as giving out tickets you’ll also need to tell passengers to keep the noise down, clean up mess and adhere to random additional rules that are added. The cash you earn (and steal from customers) can then be used to purchase perks from a merchant that gets on the trolleybus every few stops. A ticket inspector gets on occasionally too though and if he finds someone without a ticket he’ll try to hunt you down and throw you off the bus.
There are three levels in the playtest, each offering different challenges. They feel a little long so they can get a little repetitive (reducing the levels to around 10 minutes might be better), but aside from that it’s a lot of fun. The premise is fun, the low poly visuals are great, there’s lots to keep you occupied and beating up passengers never gets old. A TROLEU problem well worth taking for a ride.
